Botan Bushi centres on a poised warrior figure framed by an ornate cascade of flowers, skulls and a drawn sword. The artwork combines a tattooed character in layered armour with braided hair, a horned skull headpiece and bold red brush-style lettering alongside the composition.
Fine illustrative linework gives the design a richly detailed finish, from the patterned sword grip and armour fastenings to the floral petals and foliage. Dusty pinks, deep reds, muted greens and warm bone tones stand out against the dark ground, creating a dramatic balance between delicate botanical forms and hard-edged weaponry.
